“My job is not to punish or shame you, but to encourage you to give yourself some slack and learn to appreciate how amazing you really are. Let’s figure out how your negative beliefs got there, challenge them, and wave goodbye together!”

Hey! I'm Sam (she/her). I grew up in Southern California, but spent most of my life in Cincinnati, Ohio before moving to Salt Lake City, Utah.

I earned my B.A. in Psychology at Ohio University, and my M.A.Ed. specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling at The University of Akron. I'm dually licensed as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Clinical Mental Health Counselor.

I love to grow as both a therapist and a person, and I have a passion creating a safe and affirming space for marginalized populations. I strive to work towards social justice through both my work and personal life.

I enjoy using a genuine, relaxed, and evidenced-based approach to therapy. My mode of therapy is flexible to your needs and what you are looking for. I can help you develop tools and provide food for thought in-between sessions to meet digestible and attainable goals.

I specialize in working with couples, adults, and college-aged women and I have experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community. I am open/non-monogamous relationship affirming.
